2020 a year to remember

Well it’s May. Nathan has been retired from National Grid a year. He set up as a self employed handyman and has been fairly busy. Primarily through church friends and their contacts. Coronavirus has hit. Sue has been really busy the last two months setting up telephone befriending across Reading. Initially for the over 55’s and latterly for all adults.

We reached out to our neighbours and Nathan regularly shops for one couple. Another two families responded and we have a local contact group.

To encourage those who are exercising past our house, we regularly post verses and quotes at the front of our house. These have been appreciated by all who have commented.

2019 a year of change

It looks like 2019 could be a very different year. At the time of writing Nathan has only 2 months left at National Grid where he has worked for the last 19 year.

He plans to spend his first few months working on our house so that we can use it more for the Kingdom.

Sue continues to be a leader at The Gate and runs a project in Reading befriending the Elderly.

Over a year since our last post!

We’re not very good at posts. It’s been over a year since our last one! Well we’ve settled in to our new house and replace the boiler, painted the exterior. Sue’s prayer room is still under construction 12 months after I started! May be this weekend I’ll make some more progress.

We’ve Moved

Moving house is always fun! Well we did just that at the end of August. It’s now November and it feels like home, even though there is so much to do. The best bit is all the wonderful people who pass through and use what God has given us to share.
